I just finished writing an email to a local running coach because I realized it would be nice to have someone more experienced than I am (which is not experienced at all) take a look at my running form and fix it. I mostly running like ‘plod plod plod’ which cannot be optimal in any way. The coach responded quickly to my initial email which was a nice surprise and hopefully I will hear from them again soon!
On that note – did 2 miles today. Had a weird experience where I got home from work and was like, “Why don’t you just have a rest day, Liz? You have a workout Monday AND Tuesday this week, just take a rest day.” But I really, really, REALLY wanted to go for a run.
I’m not sure if it was because I had a pretty slow day at work or what but I just felt the need to go for a quick run. The two miles felt pretty good and I’m feeling confident about the 5k coming up on the 19th. I’m definitely going to need to get some new running shoes soon though. My knees and shins are feeling it.
Also! I’m down to my last Freshly meal and I am SUPER happy with the service! The servings are a perfect size and the food is very, very good. The one I saved for day six seems to have preserved fine in the fridge and I didn’t have to freeze it which was a concern because the website said the meals last 4-5 days. I was sooooo pleased with the fact that I didn’t have to think about what I was going to cook for dinner after getting home from work and the gym. It was already there, three minutes away.
Been a good week fitness-wise! I’ll keep you posted on the running coach and I still plan on making the breakfast burritos on Wednesday.
