Pretty sure this is actually my third day one. But only for this poor blog. It is what it is. I’m back, again, this time to just talk about what I’m doing to get fit and posting stats, photos, meals, measurements, etc, so that I have a record of it.
Not really sure what sort of things I’m going to post yet. I just know that a year from now I want to look back and see what I’ve been doing and see how I’m better than I used to be. If you want to follow along, cool. If not, whatever.
I’m sitting here waiting until 10:30 so I can go to the gym. I like to wait until later because there are fewer people. In the meantime, I made some crockpot chicken, took the dog out, did a little bit of foam rolling for my quads and have been binging this guy on YouTube called ‘Every Damn Day Fitness‘ and he has a collection of videos that really rip into people involved in the HAES (Health at Every Size) movement which he really, really hates.
To clarify, he hates the message and the idea of promoting obesity. He does not hate fat people.
So anyways, I was sitting there realizing how many people have watched his videos and figured I have a little bit of a message myself so why not write about it?
My mission (for myself, not the blog) is to become ‘fit’ and this blog is going to document my efforts. I’m going to talk about my struggles with nutrition, workout gear, recovery, scheduling fitness around an insane schedule, the workouts I’m doing, cardio, the struggle to reach my calorie count and protein macros, training for events and whatever else might be interesting.
I mostly want to be able to look back and say ‘wow, I remember when I couldn’t….’ but if it helps you along the way, awesome!
So here’s to Day One #3!
